Great episode guys! ESCO printed a series every year in the 1940's, 32 cards each year. From our perspective today, many people say they are no longer a major issue, people don't know the history because the grading services and price guides lump them into groups of years like 1939-1946 for the war years. Gehrig was only printed in 1939, Chuck Klein only in 1941, Ted Williams with the 9 showing was printed each year, 1943-45.
