I would never have twigged to the fact that Vasquez and John Connor's foster mom were played by the same actress. That in itself is the mark of talent.

She’s so underrated. She literally became unrecognizable in her roles.

Vasquez's character and performance made the space marine team even more bombastic and fascinating in Aliens.

"Hey Vasquez, you ever been mistaken for a man? No,...have you?" My fav "Alien" movie, & my fav character. Goldstein made a lifetime impression on me as a heavy squad-gunner. She could have served on my recon team, no-prob. Thx, Jeanette! (cav/sct 19D)

That moment in “Titanic” where she cuddles her children in the bed, knowing they’re going to drown, and tells them in a perfect Irish accent “The first class passengers will go first, and then they’ll be down to get us” … 😭

Jeanette Goldstein was so iconic as Vasquez it created an entire career for Michelle Rodriguez

She didn’t have a lot of roles, but the ones she had were awesome. I wish her well.

Holy cow. I'm 61 and since I saw this movie I always assumed she was a Latina and I never made the connection between Vasquez and her other roles. She was a huge stand out in alien. Fantastic actress who never got her flowers.

As a soldier watching Aliens, I determined that her Vasquez character was an awesome combat soldier who could lead the way in any male dominated unit. The final grenade scene with Lt. Gorman was very powerful. They knew this was the end, and, as comrades-in-arms (no pun intended) in a Hollywood setting, the characters went out with bravery & heroism. These things happen in real combat, with no cameras present, & no one ever knows. I'm happy to see Jeanette is living a successful life these days.

"Let's ROOOOOOOOOOCK!"

- Vasquez.

She CRUSHED that role. Had no idea she was that talented. Very happy for her success.

We Marines instantly fell in love with her, and wished we would see her at Camp Pendleton. She's still my favorite to watch, no matter what character Goldstein plays.❤

Probably the best example of a believable woman in a tough action role.
As Vasquez, she is simply unsurpassed in movie history as the very best.

I wish her character would have lived until the end of "Aliens". She was a true blue BADASS".😊

Vasquez was super bad ass. "No, have you."

I remember finding the character of Vasquez incredibly attractive at the time, but because I was a long haired metalhead, as were my friends, I couldn't say anything lest I be judged. Years later, my friends and I were sitting around BS'ing and Aliens was on. We watched it, and I confessed my attraction at that time. Funnily, all of my friends admitted to their attraction as well, but also their reluctance to say anything at the time. All we would say back then was her character was badass, ripped, and cool. Turns out, she had an appeal to all men because over the decades, I have talked to so many guys, and women, that adored her character and were attracted to her, or in the case of women, wanted to be her. So cool.
