I've watched a few American/Canadian react channels react to Ted, and as an Irishman I can tell you that you two seem to get it the most! I reckon you'd fit right in here!
The girl pop star was Clair Grogan who is actually Glaswegian an was an actual popstar in the 80's with her band Altered Images her most famous single 'Happy Birthday'. I have met her a couple of times.
I like how neither side is quite in the right in this episode - the priests with their embedded sexism and selfishness, and the singer with her mad conspiracy theories and extremist actions... Anyway, I'm glad Mrs Doyle got her night off and Ted and Dougal had to try fending for themselves for once! 🤣🤣
In case anyone's wondering what confused the sign language interpreter early in the episode, it was the lyric 'Tir na Nog' which refers to an old Irish fairy tale about a mysterious island ruled by women, a land of eternal youth. It's probably no coincidence that one of the main characters in this story is called Niamh.
"cowboys Ted, their a bunch of cowboys!" 🤣 Dermot Crowley as Fr Liam Deliverance. I love watching this episode and comparing Dermot Crowley's character with his dramatic roles in other films, such as THE FOREIGNER, with Jackie Chan and Peirce Brosnan for example. A great actor, so he is. "Sure, you could talk that in to coming down" 😂 love it, only top notch quality for Father Liam Deliverance!
