As Liam once said: we are just Liam, Harry, Louis and Niall, we are not 1d without Zayn

If anyone wonders why Liam took over most of Zayn’s parts, it’s because he has the next closest vocal range to Zayn. It’s time people put some respect on his name.

Next to Zayn Liam has the most diverse vocal ranges of all the boys. Much love to them all. Liam never gets the respect he deserves.

so today you learned to never underestimate liam payne

The most impressive part of Liam singing Zayn’s highest notes is that he puts his own twist on them. No one does beautiful velvety soft tones with a stylistic restraint like Liam. His voice is molten gold in its individuality.

Liam and Zayn ‘little things’ harmonies are heaven.... breathe if you agree.

LIAM JAMES PAYNE , his middle name is james

Zayn and Liam have similar voice capabilities. They both can sing in falsetto and both can belt out high notes when need be.  I don't care who your favorite member is in one direction, but there is no denying Liam and Zayn had the best voices as far as vocal ability.

3:55 Jeff: "no one's gonna be able to do that i'm sorry but yeah"
Me, knowing that my Lima can and will, watches him get blown away: 😏

No one can replace zayn
So much respect to others

An opinion that’s not talked about very often: Liam has the best high range and diverse vocals that are complementary to Zayn’s. He never gets the credit he deserves at all. While Harry is the most notable member, his vocal ranges and low tone can’t touch zayn’s ranges..if they mix the audio well putting a strong low voice will always sound amazing. Love to all the boys

Omg i love everyone who's appreciating Liam in the comments. He's so underrated and I'm so fucking happy to see genuine fans of his here. I love y'all reallyA

Liam James Payne the vocal acrobat and KING

Liam once said it was his role to hype up the crowd, although they all do that at points in their tour performances.

19:55 ‘Little things’ Zayn’s on melody and Liam’s on high harmonies. Ugh...I could die for Ziam harmonies, such an indulgence 💜

Liam’s great at always trying to make songs / solos he covers his own. He’s actually got the widest vocal range, he goes lower than Zayn and when he takes high notes his falsetto goes as high. Okay, he uses his head voice (falsetto), but that’s because he’s a lyric baritone, his chest voice can’t go that high, which is why he did the sensible thing and developed his head voice to compensate for what his chest voice can’t do. But both your chest and head voice count when analysing range.

Liam and Zayn are both considered to be A rated vocalists, so I think it comes down to personal preference. Their voices are so distinct from each other. Finally, none of them are replaceable. They weren’t trying to replace Zayn, but he had to leave mid-tour, so they had to split his solos in order to complete the tour.
