That Bluey one irks me so much, because that episode is about Bandit being a good dad by playing pretend with his daughter. These people's media literacy is worse than the average grade schooler's.

Whoever made the meme claiming that kids’ shows in 1995 weren’t “woke,” clearly wasn’t alive back then.  90s kids media was often very diverse in a quite clumsy but well-meaning way, as if the producers were ticking off a list saying “we need a black character, an Asian character, a hispanic character, a red-headed white character, a white character who uses a wheelchair, and a dog”.  Also 90s kids’ media often had environmental messaging, such as Captain Planet and Fern Gully.

The Bluey one was not about “boys giving birth” it was about teaching Bandit (and the audience) that having a baby is not as easy as it seems. To do that the episode had the girls decide to play dad baby, pretending Bandit was pregnant and Bingo (the youngest) was the baby

It's like paramedics showing up to tend to a person having a heart attack and the bigot saying, "but what about me?!" Are you dying? "No, but this spaghetti gave me heartburn..."

Any small amount of freedoms given to any other group is oppression in their minds and it really pisses me off.

Don’t understand why people always want to hurt eachother, why must the thing we hate be anything but actual problems?

As someone who knows a lot about the behavior of a lot of different animals, I've noticed that people with an axe to grind always cherry pick the one animal that makes their point and ignore all the animals that contradict it.

I literally watched a vet reality show where there was a puppy that was intersex. So…. No. Dogs don’t just come in male or female.

Weird how everyone LOVED the Ms. Doubtfire movie. You released that movie now and half the world would have a meltdown.

Ofc trans people can't fly planes, all the radios were given to our trans sisters

I recently saw a post on social media of someone saying, "I used a gender neutral bathroom for the first time at the airport." Do these people not realize that every home bathroom is gender neutral?

I find it funny how fast a person will correct themselves when they misgender someones dog. You ask of it as a human, and you are met with disgust.

What are these people talking about? The Tomato is a very important part of any Lettuce, Guacamole, and Bacon sandwich.

Friendly reminder that 15-20 years ago, these same folks were the ones trying to push the idea of "Is the B really your problem?"

It's not about saving anything, it's about it being a lot easier to defeat a nation if you only have to worry about fighting one village at a time.

I went to a charter school and in either 7th or 8th grade I remember learning about intersex people so when people say "basic biology" as a transphobic talking point, I genuinely don't fucking understand them because this stuff is basic biology to me

Whenever a phobe says that drag is inherently inappropriate for children, I think the correct response is "oh, so you want to cancel Bugs Bunny?"

As a transmasc I can confirm that every trans flag is secretly an eldritch horror beyond our comprehension, they will all transform at a set time but no one knows for sure

You shouldn't let me fly a plane. I haven't taken lessons

Really distressing.
I came out as agender to my mum and stepdad and they’ve been supportive and respectful and have really made an effort.
However, in the past week, the Queensland Supreme Court overturned a bill to ban puberty blockers for trans youth, good stuff, really good. And yet my mum said she was opposed to it because apparently kids can’t be trusted to know what’s good for them in the longterm, and the ‘damage’ that treatment could cause down the road even though it’s reversible. It was such a frustrating and upsetting thing to hear, and having to explain how much distress puberty can cause trans youth, the double standard because puberty blockers are given to cis kids and no one gives a smeg, and the amazingly low regret rate of gender affirming care, and at the end she still didn’t really understand. I had to tell her that she really needs to listen to what trans people say to know about the emotional impact, it’s one thing to read stats, but it’s way more important to listen to the testimony of the people you’re talking about.
I have a cousin who came out as a trans girl at like 7, she’s in her teens now and she’s still going strong.

28:40 The Bible says at several points to care for the poor, and to not mistreat or look down on them as inferior. Not once does God tell poor people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps or make better choices.
He calls out the people who mistreat or ignore the poor, and tells them to do better because everyone is at most a few unfortunate circumstances away from being in the same place. Not as a threat, it's a "check your privilege" type of sentiment.
