What I love about Skins is that the characters are played by actual teenagers (unlike Euphoria) and they look like actual teenagers. Their makeup is simple and poorly done and all their clothes look like they were dug out of thrift store bins and clearance racks

i loved the fashion and makeup from skins. It was so realistic, the makup looked like it was made by an actual teenager, and the skin wasnt always flawless. The wore chlothes not only for just one episode, but used in multiple.

I prefer skins to be honest

My favorite thing about skins (beside having brilliant actors) is how diverse the cast was. They really tried to make everybody feel represented, no matter if they were an immigrant, gay, autistic or just belonging to a different scene

Never will we forgive them for how they did my boy Freddie.

The one thing, as an adult of course, is I can appreciate two things:
Skins shows the gritty reality, and watching it as a grown up, it’s kind of sad watching these kids. The fact that the cast was around that age as well really hits. There’s a lingering sadness to it.
Euphoria shows how it actually feels at the time, the grand cinematography, the colors, the intense edits. It’s how a teenager views the world.
It’s basically a sense of expectations vs. reality here

I really liked how with Maxie being gay it was just a thing like they didn’t have him “WHOHOOO MY ONLY PERSONALITY IS BEING GAY 🤪” like they made him have character and depth and not just be a stereotypical gay guy

i love that skins was so realistic and the actors and actresses were real teenagers. everything they did was realistic.

skins is 100% better than euphoria, as much as i love zendaya i just relate more to skins and i grew up with it!!  x

I prefer skins. Euphoria is really cool but I love the down to earth approach from skins in which the camerawork and the fashion feels more lived in. Euphoria to me comes off too edited and more T.V, if that makes sense.

The best thing with skins was the connection you'd make with every character and the feelings were more captivating and raw! Greatest teen drama show ever made no cap.

My favorite character in skins was always Cassie. I feel like her portrayal of mental illness was very realistic (just to my own experiences with similar disorder) and also an interesting inversion of the whole "glamorizing mental illness" thing, because while she's originally set up to be the sort of ditzy quirky ill girl who is all sexual, she ends up being probably the most complex character of Gen 1

I describe it as cinematic vision of skins

Skins>> it was ahead of it’s time in every way. It bended the rules at the time so it doesn’t feel like tokenism. The fashion and stories are that of teenagers

I loved Skins because the actors were not all the model archetype of an effortless skinny girl, I remember the moment they showed Jal's body type was the first time I felt like my body was okay. 🤗

I love this but for me the most "Effy" character is Euphoria is Jules. She's mysterious, has strange and beautiful make-up cand an original style, can play with people's feelings(Rue) and is also a little sexualized by older men(Nate's dad).
