The Backyard Battleground is probably the best non plant or zombie related thing to have come out of the franchise. It has SO MUCH depth and detail to it, complete with Easter eggs we would never be able to see normally! Stuff like that is what separates a good game from a great game, and somehow gives GW2 a “Indie Game DLC” sort of vibe, despite being from a Triple A company. Simply flawless!

02:48 Fun Fact: Before the portals were added, players were actually meant to walk to the Hero bases for their missions, making the Backyard all-the-more ambitious. Ultimately this never happened.

1:26 the barrel holds the entire game together like the coconut in tf2

4:07 is it me or does citron’s base look like swiss cheese on the outside

6:09 deadass saying it looks like the alaskan bullworm🙏🥀

For the Target Gnome in the Plants base, it was likely there to remind the other crewmembers what and where the Gnome area is  supposed to be

2:09 you can actually see the outline of the gnome if you have the Gnomish Perspective hat on. im assuming its an easter egg to represent the fact that you are entering the gnome's world

2:34 I believe that is a place holder they forgot to remove

5:13 “Fish are friends. Not decorations.”
Also, did you know that super bean was gonna be a playable class in bfn?

My speculation for the barrel is that it was used as an entity summoner for the dev test maps, which would possibly explain them having names of entities

5:45 “Here’s a bit of a shot of the rose plush on the bed”

Ma mate Deadbeard owed some explanations to Dr Zomboss. Hell nah, to the whole PvZ Community…

Back before an update (I think it was before Trouble In Zombopolis part 2) you could fly your drone up to the ceiling in the final gnome chamber (one with the music player) and up there was a gap that allowed you to out of bounds with the drone (kill zones are still around so be careful).
It is through that method that I discovered the yellow exclamation mark underneath the plant base.
As said it could be the scraped wishing well but given that the interactables were given blue and for NPCs it's yellow, I personaly believe it could've been a Crazy Dave NPC.
For context it was also around that time that the Branching Zomboss NPC thing was recently discovered and given the similar placements I felt it could've been like one final story quest line.
Either way there is a yellow exclamation mark that is just floating down there along with whatever else Popcap left down there for some reason.

0:29 could just be a reference asset. Some games have to have at least one instance of an entity present at all times for them to function.

Imagine if PVZ GW2 had a contest where the fans can choose which skins from BFN can return to GW2. I would choose the best ones.

I NEED to see the other maps, I've always wondered what seeds of time would look like out of bounds

3:04 the reason I know about it is because of the zero bark thirty glitch which makes the lawn space themed it increases the render distance so you can view stuff from really far away and it always confused why corns base turret was there, I remember coming up with a hypothesis, since originally it was stated by the devs you would go into the bases instead of teleporting to them so I thought it was a left over of that concept

4:30 sounds like the fnaf 3 ambient

2:59 Why did I hear "Doofensmertz evil incorporated" play in my head as this rendered into view? 😂

you really should go over all of the maps

6:51 I think that may be for the low gravity cause you jump higher and fall slowly while playing soccer
