Thought I’d show how these patterns turn into a stained glass piece 🧚

Girl no one can say you don’t earn your paycheck damn. So impressed by the amount of work you put into this.

This is awesome, happy for your business. I've been in the small prints bussiness myself prior in life, and see a lot of similarities in your process that we learnt over time to trim and save time.

A few things that stood out to me:

1. Bulk buy pre printed envelopes in batches of 5-10k you'll easily run through them, and you won't have to spend all that time on printing them yourself. (it will be cheaper per unit too).
2. Your stickers, same approach, buy 5-10k stickers, these days you can do massive variable sheet prints, so you can get 10k stickers in 10-20 designs to keep things dynamic
3. The pattern cuts, at some point (prob soon, it will be cheaper to get a large roll cutter) also stop peeling the access, let customers do it, it is satisfactory for them and you'll save time.
4. Reference sheets, same here, we used to cut our prints 1 by 1, but when we talked to a local print shop they starred at us and burst into laugh, took a guy 10 seconds to cut 900 prints for us. in one stack, they all came out perfect. So we started grabbing a coffee at a cafe next doors and while we ordered coffee our prints got cut and packaged and we paid by bringing them 2 cups of fresh coffee) massive time save, and we built a relationship with a print shop that later came in very handy.

The conclusion for watching this. You are doing great, its wonderful to see.

You can improve a lot by making sure that everything that happend prior to the 11:50 mark happens as fast as humanly possible, because if you continue to scale this up your production will become the bottle neck, as you also described you just 100% increased your print load by going from 2 to 4 batches.

I can't believe you're doing all that printing with inkjets. It might be worth your while to look at a laser toner printer. You can print thousands of pages, before needing to reload.

Also, I don't think anyone would complain if they got to peel off the sticker "waste" and would safe you boatloads of time.

I made vinyl stickers for the past 30 years for people. Had an online store and would also make custom stickers. I had to hand cut all of them with an Xacto knife. Some designs I could do in a couple of minutes and some took me 10 min or longer. I had a process similar to this except mine were hand cut.  😬 I wish that those machines existed at an affordable price back then.

Have you looked into outsourcing some of this? It seems like a LOT of work, where a large company may be able to do it more efficiently. It looks amazing though. It's so much work!
