Funny how we can glance by certain aspects of cards at one point and then see things in an entirely different lens and make some great discoveries.  Thanks!

I always enjoy the deep dives and full story on cards like this.  Awesome video!

What a cool rabbit hole to go down to learn a lot of history to share with us!

Great job on the research, Dan! I visit Payne Park often and actually featured it in my first video on YT. We go because there’s a skate park there that my son enjoys. Also what was the playing field is a lake now. Crazy! I didn’t think anyone would care about this Alvarado card as much as me 😄 Fun stuff!

Great video, Dan. I think my head is now turned around correctly… maybe… on Luis Alvarado’s card. Thx for this historical context on Payne Field. Have a great time in Philly. Safe travels.

Awesome episode Dan . Great story and research! Thank you for sharing this .

Great video! I knew it would be about the Alvarado card from the thumbnail. It’s funny, I always thought Alvarado was at 2B, but after hearing your take, I could see it that way too. The depth of the background seems way off scale - the cars look like they’re right up against the infield dirt, and it looks like there are only two rows of cars before the outer wall.

Dan, amazing video once again. I love that you dove deep into that Alvarado card. Honestly, the context is everything for that card!

Love this stuff. Bravo! Interesting twist with the Murcer autograph. History is great! Good job.

Great episode, Dan.  I love to hear research on cards/memorabilia/etc.

You are the history GOAT.  That was a great sleuthing journey.  Thanks for sharing.

A fun research project. Thanks for sharing the story.

Fabulous content as always . I very much enjoy your history videos . As usual after one of your historical perspectives , I found myself wanting to learn more about Payne Park . Turns out that Payne Park’s locker room for the Red Sox during spring training was the setting for Norman Rockwell’s famous Saturday Evening Post painting “ The Rookie” in 1957 . We truly learn something new each and every day or should at least try to do so . Your video was the inspiration to dive deeper . Thank you .

Have a safe and enjoyable trip to Philly .

Enjoyed the story and the research, have fun at the show! 👍🏼

Very cool - enjoyed seeing that Alvarado was the SS at 2B.  thanks for the history on Payne Park.

You hooked me with that title alone.

Boy that was some research you did. Wonderful story except Orta being safe in 1985.

awesome dan! we're ready, it's going to be so much fun

Great show! I am always learning stuff!

Fun detective work Dan! See you this weekend.
