I am 76 years old and grew up a city called Durban located in on the East Coast of South Africa .... and had the good fortune to have listened and danced to these beautiful songs back in the day. I have to thank both my parents who were fond of similar music and dance styles ....
Not a lie, I was at a party in 60’s , was at a girls house and kind of a 💋 kissing party I think we were middle school in San Antonio Texas. Ray Peterson showed up and sang ‘Tell Laura I love her’ Sitting on the couch. the girl’s family knew him . I’m 80 now.
A poor kid from the Oakland hills will never forget this music, and times which will always be treasured. No one could ever imagine what lay ahead after high school in June 1958. Some of us survived, there are some from so very long ago I will never forget. I am thankful for all others who hold these truths passionately in their hearts as I will forever.
