At 5 minutes in I had a brain fart. The bottom grip is 5th on bottom 3rd in the middle and root on top. D-B-G.
Today we're working on advanced chord voicings. By spreading out our finger grips we can cover a wider range of sound frequencies. They work in any situation but are especially useful when playing in a group with fewer instruments. If you've already been playing for a while then you're already familiar with these chord shapes. It's just a matter of getting used to the new grips. Sprinkle these in whenever you can and I guarantee people will be impressed! They're also a great tool for when your playing is feeling stale.
