ROAD TRIP FRIDAY: THE HURRICANE IS COMING, BUT GOD IS ALREADY HERE!
Scripture: Psalm 46:1 — “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
What do you do when you see the storm gathering on the horizon? What do you do when the winds begin to howl, the clouds grow dark, and trouble seems to be heading straight for your door?
You remember who your God is!
Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is not a distant God who watches our troubles from far away. He is our refuge, our strength, and our very present help in trouble. He is not waiting for the storm to pass before He comes to our aid. He is with us right in the middle of it!
We may not be able to stop every storm from coming. We may not know how hard the winds will blow or how high the waters will rise. But we can stand on the promises of God! The storm does not surprise Him, the winds do not frighten Him, and the waves are never beyond His authority.
