What was your reaction when you heard how she broke her wrists? (and to answer the title on the thumbnail: Yes, it was 100% worth it and she would do it again for her children in a heartbeat)

I'm over here in tears. My "baby"  is 31 years old, but that fear that rises when you see your child headed for certain danger does not go away. I could feel it as Ami was telling the story.

Logic goes out the window when you’re trying to protect your child. Still trying to be a mom in more pain than your child but still comforting your child. What an awesome mom💛

Parents who truly love their children will risk their lives for their children. Some times even for other people’s children because that parental instinct totally takes over.

Its called "a postion of comfort"   the way you need to hold your hands since the incident.    Been there.  It will get better.  Slowly but it will.

You are a special mom.  Not all mothers would have done what you did.

I’m not going to lie my eyes got a little misty when I heard Ami tell the story of how she tried with everything in her to keep Alexis from falling.  The love of a Mother; she sees her chid in danger and automatically tries to get to her & save her. You are so brave Ami, & I know without a doubt you’d do it again if you had to.Praying that you have a speedy, as pain free as possible recovery. God Bless you.

When a mother's instinct kicks in to save her child thoughts of her own safety is never at the forefront of her mind. When a child is going to get hurt or gets hurt it's like mothers feels the labour pain all over again. I know because it happens to me. My only child is 27, married and lives in a different  country and when she's in pain it's like I want to walk on water to get to her. And Mrs McClures if any accident should happen again shortly after this (God forbid though) even with the broken wrist you will still try to catch her. That's a mother's instinct. A very powerful trait that no one can understand except a mother. Hope you get well soon as possible.  God bless.
