You've just met the finest vocalist in the K-pop scene. She's a legend, she needs no introduction.

There was a very well known Korean producer who said "Taeyeon sings like a woman who's been divorced seven times."
Few vocalist have the ability to bring me to tears. Taeyeon does it on a regular basis.

Taeyeon doesn’t write most of her own songs, but she is consistently praised by fellow artists and senior singers for her exceptional emotional delivery.

She is the leader and main vocal of the legendary group "Girls Generation" debuted in 2007.

There's a video of Taeyeon practicing for this show. In the corner of a big room alone with her recorder just casually belting out these numbers perfectly and chatting about how nervous she is.

Taeyeon is the idol of idols in kpop industry. Her voice is one of a kind. She is also part of Girl generation group, you should check out more of her Solos and her group😊

I just love how Taeyeon doesn’t look like any of the long list of things she actually is. She stands there like a tiny bundle of nerves like she hasn’t been performing for 50k crowds for nearly 20 years. And she doesn’t give a vibe of a kind of star the fans would throw underwear at, other celebrities would cry over meeting, someone who’d sing a metal song or twerk on high heels with her girls. You just don’t expect her to flip a finger on stage or speak her mind when others don’t dare to. You do not expect her to be the level of funny and embarrassing she can reach. Yet she’s all that and more.

Can’t wait for SNSD’s 20th anniversary next year and a Killing Voice we will hopefully get for it. Although wouldn’t mind another one from Taeyeon solo either. She could easily fill another 20+ mins with beloved songs without repeating a single one from this set.

she is THEEEE best female vocalist in kpop!

U need to experience her concert live!!😭😭😭..she is a phenomenal vocalist artist..her song list have many high notes and belting and she singing it live full straight 2hours and half.. Her sounds live more powerful and beautiful than u experience it from PC headphones..I got goosebumps the entire show😭😭🫠.. worth every penny and time to purchase her ticket concerts..🥰she is so talented and incredible skillful vocalist not doubt when u experience it own your own infront of your eyes.. give u chills the entire body🤯😵😄

A producer once said that Taeyeon sings like she's been divorced seven times. So, there's your emotional conveyance!

She probably has autotune built in since birth. I highly recommend her street performances in Europe.

35:40 Taeyeon won't be offended btw.. she sang video games songs and those were vocally challenging as well.. she probably would see your vision 😂

While i'm sure there's post production in every killing voice videos, I'd say that Taeyeon also did make a concious choice to control the volume, she actually did that particular part you mentioned during a talk show because that part is famous for being a 10 seconds of singing in one breath (and mind you she's flipping back and forth between her chest and head voice in that 10 seconds window) and i could tell you it's exactly how it sounds here...having watched a ton of her live she's very sensitive to the sound, that's why you also saw her playing with her in ears and she's instinctively moving away from the mic when she got louder (that's the seasoned singer in her moving)...she knows her voice well, yes, but she also knows her equipment well...this really shows when you watch her recording behind, from the recording behind of artists that i've seen so far she's the only one that never press to the popscreen when she goes low or goes quiet...she maintains a consistent distant and control her volume from there

People joked that being her A&R director is an easy job because nothing much to do to her post recording materials

If you want to hear the more raw side of her voice i'd recommend you to checkout any of her recording behind from Taeyeon official youtube channel

Taeyeon gives two hour solo concerts and her voice is just as good in he end of the concert as it was in the beginning. And her songs are very demanding to sing. But she is special. Very special singer. One of a kind.

She is considered the best vocalist with no weaknesses in her vocals, and her diction is also outstanding. Foreigners who don't know Korean might not realize how accurate her pronunciation is when she sings, but people say her songs don't need subtitles at all. Interestingly, even Koreans who listen to K-pop often need subtitles for Korean lyrics because there are so many singers with poor pronunciation.

People often say she is timid and a very introvert person.. but everytime she start singing, she is a star.. she shine right at that moment and people attracted to her. Her voice is very captivating 😊

Whenever I feel down, I listen to her sad songs and become even more depressed 😂

She can be considered the Lebron James of Kpop for singing at a high level in Korea for 20 years now and doesnt seem to be stopping anytime soon

Her strong voice sounds so smooth. I also like her singing small bits of songs. I love killing voices but between all of the introductions and the long songs you I don’t hear enough of everyone’s voice. This is one of the best.
