Wonderful performance 👏 that should have been released as a LIVE LP.  MF is fantastic, and the fluegelhorn solo on FRAME FOR THE BLUES by Bob Summers is beautiful.  Most respectfully..Vaughn  🎺

I saw him 19 times between 76 and 2004. I could never think of a night he was " off ". I heard from others who had heard him not touching his trumpet for the entire 30 days. But I heard him On a few times that were spectacular! And this is one of them!

You gotta love that shout of exultation after coming off that last note..."Ohhhh yeah!"  He laid it all on stage that night, nothing left in the tank, and he survived!

This concert is about the hardest anyone has ever pushed a brass instrument! Just so much energy you want to start crying thinking how great Maynard must have felt on stage. Noticeable difference in Maynard’s sound from Carnegie Hall in 1974 to this concert from 1975.

Years ago I opened up for Maynard and his band on a concert in Florida. He is in a class all his own.

Wow.  The definition of "On"

Jeez, he was on it that night. You couldn't get any more air down that horn.

Absolutely AMAZING !!   What an incredible sound.

Maynard had an energy level that no one has ever been able to match... it's like a nuclear explosion on stage!!

Chairman of the board!

Damn…..FIRE!!!   And the audience is screaming….

Bob Summers played the you know what out of that blues solo

I was there in Carnegie Hall that night!

What an opening!!

Incredible 👍👍👍❤️
