Your first mistake was going to a Denny's in the morning while sober, instead of the ideal time, which everyone knows is 2 AM while absolutely shitfaced after a night at the bars.
The issue with Denny's is that each one is completely different. It all depends on their cooks. You could go to a Denny's & have the worst food in the universe. Then go to another one in the same city & have the best damn food you've ever had. All based on their cooks
Mushy hashbrowns is such an endemic problem that my wife would order them "cooked to death and beyond" just to maybe have a chance of them being crispy enough.
17:08 According to google, Denny's didn't sell pancakes when they first opened so The Original Pancake house is right stating as such. Denny's apparently didn't start selling pancakes as a regular menu item until the early 1960's. Denny's was originally called Danny's Donuts and was known for selling...well donuts and coffee.
ive never been to a cracker barrel so when you said "you can buy anything" i was like "no way they have limited edition pokemon merchandise and cards" , and then this happened 20:50
I think it’s less about waking up early to just wait and eat pancakes and rather entirely about eating early with friends and family. It just hits different that way imo
I'm so glad you liked Black Bear Diner! They are one of my go to spots for breakfast food. It's always big portions, decent pricing and the food has never disappointed me when I've gone.
The first Black Bear Diner was established in the City of Mt. Shasta in 1995, way up in Northern CA. I used to eat there before they became a chain. There are a lot of Black Bears up there. My dad used to stand guard over me in the early 1970 with a US Army M1 Carbine while I was fishing up there as a kid. The rangers in the mid 90s used to be armed with high powered squirt gun/rifles with ammonia mixture to spray the bears to keep them out of the campgrounds. Had shotguns with rifled slugs as backup The last Grizzly Bear (State Animal) was shot and terminated there in 1923.
It’s insane to me that “fried rice” on a breakfast menu was interesting for you. In Hawaii, fried rice is a breakfast, lunch & dinner item lol. With manyyyy different “fried rice” variations - breakfast fried rice (usually with eggs & spam), Kimchee fried rice, garlic fried rice, etc. It’s on every menu & listed for every meal!
Favorite quip from the video, re Cracker Barrel: "This breakfast chain is loved by many people ... my girlfriend ... the elderly ... and that's mostly it."
