Ah, this is a classic of Jontron’s imo. I owned several of these plug n play consoles growing up, I especially remember one that would play the song “Come on Eileen” on the main menu that played OVER AND OVER again lmao

Excellent reaction as always Nai!

The casual outfit is adorable nai and his series of bootleg games is pretty fun to watch just to see how weird bootlegging can get

16:47 That's not the kid's cape btw Nai, that's a chain. The kid was probably chained to the wall by the blue monster.

I remember owning an Namco plug n play. It had 12 games including Pac Man Plus, Super Pac Man, Galaga, and Bosconian.

5:15 The t4hing is, they companies that made the rip-off / bootleg ones would make a bunch of them (in China, Mexico, Taiwan, exc), sell them wholesale to distributors, and close up and rebrand to someone else before they ever hit stores. By the time the actual copyright owners learned about them to sue, they would be 2 or 3 companies down the chain. Add in the difficulty of international lawsuits and it basically would never be worth it.

Today you can actually still find plug and play consoles being sold, often in the popup stalls in malls. I saw one recently that had a bunch of NES games, and we all know how litigious Nintendo is.

Seeing Max Payne 3 stacked that high hurts every time lol. That game was so good and most people think so, its just for the memes

On the "brave boy" game, it's even weirder when you notice the game over screen where the kid gives the monster a bath the kid is chained to the wall.
