I play with myself exclusively

The JCM800 is a one trick pony, but it does that trick better than anything else

The guy that boxed up the 5150 III Stealth deserves an award for safe packing. From a guy that received a used Marshall 3203 Artist head with a single wrap of the thin tiny bubble wrap and no box at all, plus it came across the country, I can appreciate someone that gets your used amp to you safely. I lucked out on the Marshall with no damage, but it could have been a disaster.

As a drummer, using live practice as a benchmark is extremely necessary. I cannot tell you how often my previous guitarist have had their rigs murdered by my playing in both practice and live settings... and I'm definitely not a caveman behind the set either.

For lunchbox amps, the best one ever is the Marshall DSL20H. Throw a Maxon OD in front of it and you can do anything up to and including chainsaw death metal. Honestly, the best amp i ever used

Props to the guy who pulled the tubes and packed them separately.

The 50w EVH is the only one that survived my gauntlet. I loved the baby JCM800 but I got the full size Ceriatone for the same price. The EVH kicked the Kraken out of the house. It does everything the Kraken does but better.

Thank you for taking all the time

Still the Fireball 25 kicks their butts 🤘🎸🍻

There’s a reason so many albums used a JCM 800: they punch through the mix like no other.

5150 iii 6L6 is an amazing and versatile amplifier.

@Demonik44 5 months ago

loved the kraken

I personally own the 5150 III 50w and my favorite thing to do to "Fake it" into a larger amp is to crank the resonance all the way up. It doesn't sound exactly like a 100w does but the extra thump it adds definitely gets you closer. Also the volume you had it set to with the drumming test is about as loud as my personal one will go without squealing with any sort of boost enabled, So I don't think you were undermining its performance.

That Badlander sounded killer!

MORE amp shootouts with keeping up with the drummer benchmark, please!

I wanna see you play a h&k tubemester! great vid

When it comes to amplifiers and guitar amps, one brand that's often overlooked but that I really love is Hiwatt.

Badlander Chug, you said? Now you've gotta chug a 2 liter on camera for mentioning my goat.
