I met him once in a comedy club in new york during his time away from the spotlight. He didnt really perform comedy, was just speaking with us mostly, making fun of us, talking about society, etc. He stayed until 3 am or so. It was very unique. I think he wanted to feel like a person, and we did manage to do that for him that day.

Met him when he came to my restaurant. I offered to take care of his meals but he still ended up paying and tipping all of my staff. Before he left, he took the time to talk to my staff and even took pics and signed autographs. Dave is a Legend.

This was a great breakdown of Dave's life. Thank you for humanizing him and not dwindling him down to his celebrity status.

Dave is just an ordinary dude who happens to tell extremely funny jokes

I met him after the moving to Africa, he was with his family and I stopped walking towards him. Me and him lock eyes, then he nods to me. After he walked his family up, he came back down and took a picture with me after waiting for me to get the free time to do so. He is a real guy.

It’s like I’ve always said: the harder people try to cancel Dave and end his career, the more they’re actually helping his career.

Dave is a fucking legend. We still quote Chappelle show and the fans wont let him be canceled.

4:55 I think people will still love it today. The normal, sane person still appreciates a good joke.

Half baked was a huge hit and you Young kids Will never know the feeling of tuning in to catch a new episode of Chappelle show

The industry at that time literally couldn't comprehend someone trying to stay true to their morals over 50 Million.

This is one of the reasons he is one of the best comedians the world has seen. He knew who he was and never sold his soul to the corporate bigwigs.

I had the pleasure of very briefly meeting Dave as he exited off stage at a show in Toronto, Canada about two years ago. As he was walking off the stage, I shouted towards him calling him the GOAT and saying that the world needed him. He walked over, thanked me and shook my hand. This was during the whole Covid/Mask era and the fact that he still approached me with all that going on and shook my hand, truly shows how kind and humble this man is. A blessing to this world and definitely one of the best comedians of all time💯

It would be hard to cancel him. He's a living legend at this point!

Excuse me  but as a 42 year old i can say that Half Baked was a huge hit.  We all loved it and still quote several lines from it in everyday life.

About his friend Daphne. He actually said he wasn’t sure if her suicide was caused by the hate she got. But he said he knows it didn’t help

Dave Chappelle should be on the Mt Rushmore of all time legendary comedians.

The world nowadays needs more Dave Chappelles. He's always been a comedy icon and someone who had a taste of fame and chose to remain normal. Kudos to him

What I like most about Daves stand up shows is they're social commentary mixed with stories that end in wisdom, it's like being spoken to, rather than watching someone making jokes for the sake of jokes.

dave is easily my favorite comedian, he’s a genius. no matter how “edgy” he is with his comedy i’ll still love him

Ah smoking weed and watching half baked was the best growing up . Skinny dave funny as hell
