57:47 Henry is 21 and Carina is 19. She was born two years after the 3rd movie

I think you guys have watched this one with the preconception of what other people have told you about this film. Instead of judging it on itself.

the compass thing was a writing error. He bartered the compass off Tia Dalma originally but they changed it to being a gift from his previous crew/captain. As for the Davy Jones thing ppl think its due to the curses being broken that he could return but all in all it makes no sense because of how sloppy the writing was at the end. Either way it's up for speculation because there won't be any further pirate movies with Depp unfortunately.

The wrot themsevles into a corner now, EVERY sea curse is gone, ALL of them. Meaning any mroe films would have no magic or curses in them.

i LOVE Javier Bardem, it's just too bad he is in this movie, and not the first trilogy

36:51 Technically Barbossa in the first movie, but I get your point

The 4th one was my fav as a kid bc ✨mermaids✨. As I‘m older I think it’s 2-1-3-4-5 for me. I do rewatch movie 1 the most, but I really enjoyed the the storyline and the ship between Jack and Elizabeth in the 2nd one

Last recording of a guillotine being use as a method for capital punishment was 1977 in France.

I enjoyed this journey with you guys! 5th is definitely the least fun, but it still has its moments. As you said, the villain is the weak spot and there are problems with timeline/retcons, but the core "Pirates" feeling is present.
