This time, announcers Yamaoka and Otsuki tried a unique standing-room-only soba noodle shop near Nagano Station. Its name is... "Chitoro"

You can imagine what "Chi" is, but what's "Toro"?

It was originally developed during the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, as a cheese-filled udon or soba dish.

It was sold to international visitors.

At the time, it was called "Torochi," but they stopped serving it for a while.

Later, they resumed serving it under the name "Chitoro," adding egg and cheese, and it became a well-known local specialty.
