"HyakuEmu," the debut comic by manga artist Yutaka Uo, known for works such as "Chi. - About the Movement of the Earth," was released as an animated feature film on September 19, 2025.

Mynavi News interviewed Kouki Uchiyama, who plays Zaitsu, a long-time dominator in the Japanese track and field world since the protagonists Togashi (voiced by Tori Matsuzaka) and Komiya (voiced by Shota Sometani) were students, and Kenjiro Tsuda, who plays Kaito, a man who competed against Zaitsu in the same era but has never been able to beat him.

We spoke to them about their impressions of working with Tori Matsuzaka and Shota Sometani, how they played the roles of Zaitsu and Kaito, and the "talents" and "gaps" between them that only the two, who have worked together so extensively, can know.
