A perfect weekend with a trusted crew.
We pack the golf bags, hit the open green,
In Shipshewana, quiet and serene.
The fairways stretch beneath a golden sky,
Where laughter rings and dimpled golf balls fly.
The drive is straight, the putts roll smooth and clear,
Surrounded by the friends we hold most dear.
And when the final eighteen holes are done,
The quiet countryside has just begun.
We swap our stories of the final score,
And head to town to see what is in store.
A hearty feast of Amish food awaits,
With piping haystack meals on heavy plates.
Warm chicken, fresh baked bread, and garden greens,
The best home cooking that you’ve ever seen.
And sweet, thick slices of a homemade pie—
A taste of comfort under Indiana's sky.
The evening comes with music at the show,
Where theater lights begin to softly glow.
With full bellies and memories made to last,
The weekend hours fly by way too fast.
A perfect blend of food, and friends, and fun,
Long after this golf getaway is done.
