if you invest in gold, dont forget zakat once it reaches the nissab

Please pray for me , I really want to get married but couldn't find a suitable match , like the one I wanted to be with..  And my family forced me to get married because of social pressure that a woman should be married In a certain age.... please pray for me that i get a man of my choice as soon as possible. 😑

Time does fly, I used to watch you years ago and now suddenly you're married sis😂 guess I'm stuck in 2020

It CAN be private. The imam doesn’t have to mention the specific mahr amount during the nikah. He can just say “the pre-determined amount.”

Wow, you girls get to decide what you want for mahr… But in my place, the girl is never asked what she wants for mahr.. sometimes she’s not even given any. Yet the boy’s family still demands dowry..

Since you're married now if you'd make videos on how to find spouse for sisters it'd be helpful. Like dating isn't allowed and some sister's are new Muslim so how'd they find spouse without mahram helping

Just checked your channel and thought why you are not posting, then in few minutes this comes😂😂😂
Alhamdulillah
Assalamu alykkum 👍
Have a good month 'may'👍

My in-laws gave me 5 ounce of gold and Mehr was Pakistani 4-6k.

Deciding mahr is really important! But..in South asian countries...many people consider it as just a ritual not mandatory!
I have seen in my family my grandparents, uncles have given their mahr & considered it a very important act, but when I got married my mahr was a certain amount in the form of gold jwellery, my husband & in laws forcefully took all the gold jwellery along with mahr jwellery back the day after walima😢
I explained a lot to my husband, that this is a sin..u keep rest just keep my mahr wid me ..he didn't agree!!!!!

The fact that if a woman takes a khula it means she has to pay back the mehr tells me that it should be a valuable amount for sure. My oldest cousin who got married was very fortunate because her father in law made sure they wrote in a condition in the Nikkah contract where her husband has to pay her a monthly allowance.

Congrats! Tbh I don’t know what to ask for either, I assume whatever he can afford and offers but I do know that I will contractually protect myself as much as possible according to the Sharia and my countries laws.

I think if someone is confused just asked for meher e fatimi
It's sunnah ❤

I asked for mahr 2-3 gramms of gold jewellery for my every birthday
2-3 gramms are not expensive in my country but over some years the value of them will increase In Sha Allah

If I decide my mahar as jamath , haj or umra and one ayath in Quran ❤😊

7:25 ukhti, that type of gold not worn for adornment rather to save it for money has a zakat to pay, so literally just get cash as mahr if ur focusing on money and keep it better than gold with the intention of saving money.

Wouldn’t it be a little awkward if I just bring this up directly and talk about it? What if he thinks I’m money minded or something?

2 ounces of gold as mahr is quite expensive, it's about 8000$ I personally feel it's too much... but as u said each girl knows her needs

In my family and in the most the families here the elders of girls family decide the mehr and it is as less as can possible so that the groom side didn't get offended.
In my uncle's wedding the mehr was literally 786₹ which is just $8 like what you are gonna do with that money and in almost all cases woman have no financial stability .
Btw i am an Indian.

❤❤

But we have to give zakath right if it exceeds 10 sovereigns,Isnt it?
