Dr. Gary was one of the main reasons I found the strength to face my alopecia. Even though my specialty is internal medicine and not plastic surgery, his bravery in going online and sharing his journey without any shame or hesitation was a turning point for me. His confidence became my confidence.

That's like saying a cardiologist who doesn't personally have heart problems can't be empathetic and effective with a patient who does.

Hi Spencer, in my early days, way back 2007, you were great help over the emails when I was going for my first ht and in 2009 and then again more recently 2021, we had a conversation on the phone for my third. You were always willing to give your free time to help people on their own personal ht journey. Cheers man.

Saw an old video of you with hair. I know this has nothing to do with the topic but I personally prefer you bald you look extremely professional and I'd trust my life to a doctor like you.

Hey doctor gary I have 2 questions. What percentage of people would you say get psychological side effects from finasteride at 1 mg a day? And what is the youngest you would feel comfortable prescribing somebody finasteride?

@derontyler2347 3 months ago

Much respect to these gentlemen but funny how you guys don’t fully address the elephant which is WHY does surgery cost exponentially more? Why!

@newbeginning3568 3 months ago

should i go off finasteride months before a transplant? then after having on consider taking it? i ask cause my fear is, if i take finadteride before, it will make some hairs appear on that place and if those which are weaker hairs are transplanted they wont be strong enough and will fall. i feel i should have probably had a transplant first and then taken finadteride as my crown is very bald instead ive taken it for 8 months and if i stop now , wont my hair loss get worse? but if i dont stop and have a transplant wont that hair be weakened, is finadteride for life after a transplant? i am in my early 30s

The dude in tan shirt didn't let you speak . All I heard was I Was this , I did that . It was all about him. Dude didn't stop talking . Why did he invite you. " it's fantastic to be able to speak with you". What the hell . He didn't shut up. He loves hearing himself talk. Ridiculous.

Dr I know you say PFS isnt much of a reality but please please read this.
Im 21, applied topical finasteride 2.275mg/l for 6 months, 4 sprays everyday. For 2 and a half months I was totally fine, but around month 3/4 I started getting sexual sides.
I stopped and 2-3 weeks after my sides had vanished, so I thought I was safe to start again. A week back in all the sides came back, after which I stopped finasteride completely.
It's been 8 months now and the sides still haven't left. I genuinely don't know what to do, and I refuse to believe that I can never recover from this
