the zed dog is not zeekers shaped btw, its shaped like zedfox, who composed much of the music for the game!

That shotgun was building up all the good luck in the run to be the biggest and baddest luck around.

The foreshadowing of the "*click*" visible on screen, and having that lead to the team wipe is just *chef's kiss*! You could call it Chekov's (shot)gun.

That ending was phenomenal to watch on stream. The confusion, the dread, how funny and sad it was after more then 7 HOURS of trying

@farawayxgalaxy 1 year ago

The fact that the chapter “catastrophic loss” is right after “streamer luck” has got to be the funniest thing ever to me.

That ending is like having the best burger you've ever had, almost finishing it, then being dragged out onto the street and executed with a 12 gauge for having the hubris to think that you could finish your burger.

It's the funniest thing seeing everybody so casual about collecting the last gold bar, while Spigg enters a LITERAL WARZONE trying to get the painting back!!

Oh THANK GOD that run counted. My heart broke when I reached that point in the VOD.

Do you know the funniest part?
The wiki has one extra scrap that y’all forgot: an employee’s body.
So technically, you lot still needed a sacrifice. One that a certain shotgun was all too eager to provide.

That shotgun story arc was super crazy. Crazier than an all zed dog moon, I'd say

@justacrazygamer5066 1 year ago

I love how the incident was not only extremely unlucky (and hilarious) but also (in a way) everyone’s fault

The last run is the biggest and best gun safety ad I've ever seen period.

51:30 how the hell a shotgun can't kill a butler right in fron og it but easily oneshots 4 people scattered across the ship

"We finally got every item after 9 hours of attempts and are taking off into orbit. Surely nothing can go wrong now."
The nefarious and patient shotgun:

Getting insane drop rates on loot before getting team-wiped by a perfectly timed shotgun is the epitome of streamer luck. Not good luck, not bad luck, but the luck of only getting incredibly rare occurrences.

@AnimeFan-wd5pq 1 year ago

The ending is an excellent demonstration of the Murphy’s Law - “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”

The foreshadowing for that moment moons prior is literally Chekhov’s gun. Absolute cinema.

You: I consent (to the end of the run)
Sinik: I consent (to the end of the run)
Bread: I consent (to the end of the run)
June: I consent (to the end of the run)

Shotgun: Isn't there someone you forgot to ask?

That Shotgun was a true non-believer. Thankfully the mods of the speedrun still accepted it, but I feel like the shotgun going off right there does make it the best museum% out of every other completion.

"How do i even explain to them..." 49:05
I felt that in my soul.

@frydbot 1 year ago

on top of the streamer luck in that final few minutes where you got everything you needed, i think the nefarious shotgun going off in the perfect 1 second window to kill everyone is the perfect capstone to streamer luck
