Uploading the video for the passion project you've spent years developing on April fool's is definitely something Jacob Alpharad would do.

honestly, one of my favorite bit about this has to be the Waluigi gym fight where he says, "Time to play dirty!" as he throws out an illegally evolved level 29 Huff N Puf since it's meant to evolve at level 36

I can think of a good water and fighting type

One fix for Bowser needing to be pure Dragon for the start of the game could be by giving him an enraged mode later on, like basically just a Mega Evolution, and making that one Fire/Dragon.

Helps keep the early game balanced, while maintaining the Fire/Dragon typing for Bowser and it helps build a sense of escalation for those later battles.

Bowser's fantastically flavored in this game, his dialogue sounds straight out of the Mario and Luigi games

I love that Bowser's still as hammy as he's always been in the RPG spinoffs

I didn't know I could have a smile on my face for 56 mins straight until I watched this, holy this is so cool brother

10:21 This is kinda ironic considering that in canon Bowser actually does care about his army and his army genuinely trains extremely hard to make him happy because of how much they like him.💀

The spriting in this is amazing, congratulations to the spriters!

12:01 the idea of a unique evolution at a later level that rewards you for withholding evolutions at earlier levels is genuinely revolutionary and should be in Pokemon for real already

Put THAT in your TATTLEDEX!! 😎

I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but a good idea would've been at the beginning at the game it would ask you, "Who is your favorite brother?" And you would play as the brother you chose.

Alpharad: ‘We don’t want Bowser to be unbalanced for one starter.’

Meanwhile, Brock with his Rock/Ground types who are quad weak to two starters and absolutely wall Charmander: *sweats nervously*

I think what I love most about this is how earnest and unapologetically authentic it feels! I feel like so many fan projects are afraid to be as silly yet endearing as Nintendo’s actual senses of humor. It just puts a massive smile on my face

I am frantically awaiting Jaden Animation video of her playthrough with Super Mariomon 😭

Very bold of Alpharad to release a video that took three years to create on April Fools

I inhaled dozens of obscure enemy articles on the Mario Wiki as a kid, this is a dream come true!
If this has any of Super Paper Mario’s absolute freakazoids then it immediately enters the GOATed tier

1:11 "but the first question you get asked in any pokemon game"

"Are you a boy or a girl?"
