Japanese motorcycles already have a reputation for superior performance overseas. Among them, Yamaha motorcycles are one of the few truly outstanding motorcycles. This film depicts the production process of the Yamaha 250S motorcycle on the production line, and concludes with footage of it competing in a prestigious motorcycle race.

1986年：50cc以下の原動機付自転車（原付）も含め、全てのバイクでヘルメット着用が完全義務化されました。
当時生み出されたヤマハの空冷2スト並列2気筒エンジン、よく見たらクランクケースが横割りではなく縦割りなんですね。
現在だと単気筒エンジンが縦割り式クランクケースで、2気筒以上は横割りケースなので・・・当時の製造技術ではそうせざるを得なかったのでしょうかね。
クランクシャフトを圧入している所を見ると、エンジンO/H時にちょっと苦労しそうな構造だと感じました。
とはいえ、2ストのヤマハと言われる歴史を紡いだ傑作だと思います。
しかも部品製作から完成まで、その後、各部品の外注化が進んだのでしょうね😊
