Dear sweet John was no real singer.., he was very self-conscious about his voice, and he’s a shy man in general. His bass sings for him.

And yes, I cry every time.

You  missed the end! They had a champagne glass on the piano as a dedication to Freddie. This was John’s last recording with Brian and Roger; he retired after this. This was 6 years after Freddie’s death.

This is a sucker punch of a song if you're not prepared.

Ughh...heart breaking.  It's supposedly shot from Freddie's viewpoint floating in like a spirit...Deaky does look so super sad...ughhh

Brian has a beautiful voice. And what a lovely tribute to Freddie, but I can't watch it that often. Cuz = tears.

John Deacon never got over Freddie’s death and retired from music soon after this song was released (1997) Brian, in the year after Freddie died, suffered from depression and even contemplated killing himself because it was just too much and he still gets emotional on tour when they play recordings or films of Freddie to sing along with. Roger is a bit more resilient but there was an interview a while back when he told how he got a phone call on his way to Freddie’s house saying there was no point cos Freddie was dead, and Roger was trying hard to hold back the tears.

This song must have been so hard to do but it is a beautiful tribute to their friend.

This is the most beautiful tribute song I have ever heard in my life, the guys did an amazing job with it. Freddie deserves it all. Love them all.

Heartbreaking...RIP my beautiful man....Gone but never forgotten..

It started with Roger and Brain and now they're the only ones left keeping the spirit of Queen together

They wrote this song A tribute for Freddie

You’re the first reactor I’ve seen do this song without knowing anything about it.  Oof!  Made it that much sadder to see you realizing what it was in real time.  Beautiful song, but so freakin’ heartbreaking.

Those of us who love Freddie will never stop crying! Even though it has been 31 years since we lost Freddie, there are times, like now, when tears fall like rain because he was truly a beautiful, brilliant man that touched our hearts for decades with his song, smile and the love he had for all his fans! He was truly one of a kind! 🥀

Anyone else catch Traent’s “I love you” shoutout to freddie at 8:13 ❤️ very sweet

Did nobody warn you about how sad this was gonna be? Heh. I don't listen to it that often and usually skip it if it pops up on my player because it will instantly make me cry. I liked that you noticed John. As you may know from comments he was so greatly affected by Freddie's death that he retired from making music and public life, and this is the last video he was in.

A Brian May masterpiece... so sad and yet so perfect

For Roger’s solo dedicated song to Freddie, look up “Good Friends” by Roger Taylor.

EDIT: joopis16 is correct below. The song is “Old Friends” . Sorry about that!

I'm crying he died at 45,,,, we only had him for a wrinkle in time ,,,,

Sad but beautiful. I legit ugly cried the first time I heard/saw it.

John is completely broken . This was his last time playing with Queen. He put his bass and walked away. ❤️❤️😢

You know you got a good band when the drummer Roger Taylor and the guitar player Brian May sings better than most bands today. "QUEEN FOREVER"

The Last time John Deacon played with the Band
