I'm really glad to see you have your priorities right and have a cup of tea as part of the process.

Hey all today I have gone dawlese, the full song is at the end of the video , let me know what you make of it in the comments ❤

Late to this. Found it when I was looking for Model 12 reviews. Really good video and fantastic song! Really great. Loved it.

Thank you for your video and demonstrating the process, without the DAW. Love the finished song, and your easy style, and I'm certainly thinking of getting the model 12 too. Cheers!

Great little machine…I have one on its way! Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Be safe.. Cheers..

Awesome workflow!  I am very pleased with the Model 12 in my workflow.   Great tutorial.

Thanks for this simple way of doing things. Sometimes we get too technical, obsessed with perfection and gear aquisition that we don't get anything done. I like your oldschool workflow, and very good song!.
I prefer the standalone mode also. I have a glitch with my mine where it turns on, screen is on, but the preamps are frozen, no signal. I power it off and on again, and it runs fine. I'm aware of the power switch failure with use, so i purchased a 1 foot extention cord with a switch and use that to power it on and off. I was abit annoyed and scared of issues reported in forums and my own freezing issues. Regardless, i saw the Model 12 on sale on amazon a few months back and purchased another one.🤣
The new one has no freezing issues and it came with the latest firmware out of the box.
I'm currently using my older one as a hub for all my devices, PC,  studio monitors connected to Sub outputs, my PA speakers to the Main outputs. As for the new one, i keep it for multitracking only . I can record a few instruments  on a few tracks on it + 4 mics around my acoustic drums on seperate tracks. I can then mix it down to stereo export and import the files on my older Model 12 on track 9/10 leaving me plenty of tracks for more, and i can always comeback to my newer Model 12 if i need to remix the drums or previous tracks.
Concerning mentions in the comments regarding mixing, editing, mastering using a PC required, it's not mandatory.
You CAN master in standalone mode. You just record and mixdown your tracks to the master 11/12, then "move/swap" that mixdown to 9/10. Then after having your mixdown on 9/10, you can do conventional mastering of your 9/10 using final EQ and Compression of your final mix onto 11/12 mastered and ready to be exported directly to a PC or even smartphone.
I find alot limits at first, but always find workarounds around them.
Thanks again for sharing your Model 12 standalone workflow and other videos.
And again, that song demo is great!

Great job…. Love the workflow, that is how I would work. Be productive! Bravo!! 👏

Doesn't sound too bad! Nice work!

I'm going in this exact same direction now.  Thanks and great job!!

Great tune and songwring. Really like the chord changes.

😇😀👍👏🏽very well done,I do have a Tascam model 12,and had it about a couple of years now…..it works for me.

Thanks for this vid.  I've just had delivered my Model 12, and, boy, there's a lot to learn!  But I'll get there...  Like your voice, the vibrato is really pleasant to hear :))   Rich :)

Beautiful song. Great job. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇧🇷

When i brought  my Tascam  model 12 was with the primary intention of running away from daw's . Now knowing  the capabilities  of the Tascam model 12 and having a new (second hand laptop  ) i'm trying  to found the best daw that could work the Tascam Model 12 and also the best one for beginners  .
The song sounded great  , congratulations  for the good work and sharing  and for showing how this multitrack recorder  is very capable  piece of gear in a home studio music

My model 12 is on its way, can't wait

Great job dude!

Great song and outstanding quality from the Tascam. Very well done.

I remember when we used to record on this stuff called tape......

Nice sound dude!  what drum machine do you use? It sounds quite natural. I've been using EZ drummer in the daw, but I'd like to try out a nice machine. Lovely tune as well!
