Finally, a review of the Erma M1 .22lr carbine. Bear with me, since this is my first review and English is not my first language. See also my other vids for me shooting with it, and me disassembling it.

For English not being your first language, I’d say your English is exceptional 👍🏼

Good review. You speak better English than most of the people I work with.

Hello from Vancouver Island, Canada. I just received my Erma M1 Ranger and I was astonished at the quality of the build. It's accuracy is incredible. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

My Erma works perfectly with cci sv ammo. I put a scope on the rifle an sighted it in to 50m. The loading problems with sertain magazins are a pain in the ass.
Thank you for making the fils about Erma.
Greetings from Germany.

Cute rifle. Tee hee, indeed it is. I've had US Mil. carbines for many years and like everything about them. A few weeks ago, I found an Erma at a gun show and had to have it. It has had a variety of ammo run thru it without any problems. All I did was swab out the bore and fire away. Since then, I have found a reproduction "owners manual", a single sheet of paper, and have disassembled and cleaned it. It was filthy, gummed up, and a pain in the butt to put back together.
So far so good, highly recommended. FYI, it's 2020, I'm in the US and the rifle cost me $300. One thing wrong with mine was a slightly loose front sight. Rather than try hammering on pot metal parts, I dripped a dab of Locktite "red" between the sight and barrel and all seems fine.
If anyone knows of a source for spare magazines, please let me know.

I've just been offered one in mint condition for 300. This video is a bit old and we're on a different country, so ignoring the price, I think I will be going for it

Like your character, well spoken for an english as a second language chap. Neat riflee, great for their intended training purpose.

I've got an Iver-Johnson brand M-1 Carbine in .22 Long Rifle, from (former) West Germany. As worn as it is, and with all it's faults? The only-way I'll part with it is upon my demise.
It's simple, it's relatively easy to refurbish the worn internals as needed...and will hold a 2-inch group at 30-feet...yes, I said feet. Practically a smooth-bore, even though a few-worn riflings still-show! But it's MINE, and fun-plus-function knows no-bounds, lol!
AND: I have THREE, yes, THREE-working mags for it, two of which were made at a gun-shop right here, in Missouri U.S. of A.
Bought it new, right-at 50-years ago now, think I gave $85.oo for it then, not sure?

Well it was fun ... scoping the Erma M1 .22lr. but groups of 5 to 6 cm on 50 meters is not a very good result with SK standard Plus or the Eley sport.
