When Honeymaren and Elsa were talking, Honeymaren explained the pattern on Idunna's scarf, pointing the diamonds representing Wind, Fire, Water and Earth, then pointed to the small white square in the center saying that there was a fifth spirit "said to be a bridge between us and the magic of nature." The Northuldra did not miscount, you are distorting the fact to make them say what you want them to say. There's a difference.
The reason the Magical Spirits went on a "rampage" was because a grave wrong had been committed by King Runard thirty-four years before, and they had been waiting for the time when the truth would be uncovered and the wrongs set right. This was clearly explained in the course of the movie.
Once Elsa got on top of Nox for a few seconds, he calmed down and, from then on, was perfectly calm. He even appeared to help her save Arendell even when she was still stunned be her hard landing the water after she thawed out. Once again, you are distorting the facts.
