Let me know how many crabs do you think there will be in a few months?  I'm guessing around 93, but it certainly could be more. If you get close (within 5 + or -) I'll shout out in that future video! Enjoy, and have a great weekend SerpaSquad!

best way to start the day: watching a guy give a paludarium a colonoscopy to count vampire crabs

Nothing quite like starting your day watching a calm, kind dude get so excited as he counts crabs.

During my research for a pet, I've come across many articles on how bad the hermit crab keeping is. Between being mostly wild caught, having poor set ups, and keeping a group organism in a solitary environment, I'd love to see your take a proper set up for hermit crabs. I believe with your reach and expertise/research ability, you could make a hobby altering set-up.

There’s nothing like creating a new home for some animals and seeing them multiply like that. It’s how you know you’ve done it right

Today I learned that articulate ALSO refers to delicate segmented parts. It’s good I looked that up because at first I thought these crabs were well spoken 😂

If you guess the number of vampire crabs correctly your prize is a jar of vampire crabs 🦀🦀🦀

1:36 “There had to be countless crabs here” He then proceeds to count all his crabs

Well, it shows how healthy you keep your habitats that the animals feel comfortable enough to breed. The fact that they're breeding prolificly just shows you're a master at this. I've always been amazed at how incredible your setups are.

The thing is, Vampire Crabs are also cannibals. So these are all the crabs who haven’t been eaten by their own parents and siblings. Meaning there could’ve been way more previously!

The update I've been holding my breath for! This is my favorite build. Something about the dark lava rock, twisted (yet cohesive) spider wood, dark green foliage, and black water is so beautiful. It all works together so well. I hope it doesn't get dismantled and another creature goes inside, but I would imagine it's necessary to tear it apart to get all the inhabitants out. Oh well, sometimes beauty isn't meant to last!

Man, I would LOVE to see you make a tarantula terrarium. It would be out of your usual comfort zone, being a lot smaller than most, but I think you'd do a beautiful job!!

Considering how expensive these crabs can get,  its a profit

I have NEVER seen a set up for vampire crab like this before and they're definitely enjoying it!

“Even though they were hidden, they were busy.” Hilarious, especially in your matter-of-fact voice.  Also a tribute to the quality of your care. Those are some happy crabs.

13:43 my guess is 105 for crab count

His voice is low-key different from his voice-over voice

I bet the final crab count will be something like 168 🦀

I love this! They're adorable. It's amazing without predators, and in a comfortable environment these guys can give birth to up to 80 babies at a time.
