Last comment - model year 2022, and in many fewer late build 2021’s, there are extensive part shortages that led to deletion of standard features (some examples include touch screen, power bottom “tailgate”, wireless charger, lumber and width support for front passenger seat, fog lights, rear seat cargo releases, H/K not being included in the premium package on the 40i’s, etc) and deletion of options (such as soft close doors, off road package, Alcantara headliner, night vision, heated and cooled cup holders, acoustic glass, B&W sound system etc)

helped my mom grab a 2026 x5 s40i for around 53k out the door w/t every package except executive and active cruise control. She traded in a 2018 durango gt with 103k miles that was starting to have issues. She is super excited and I am extremely happy for her. The x5 is slightly used, single owner, clean carfax with 12k miles. It was sitting at a VW dealership for around 47 days.

Just bought a 2020 M50i. Will be delivered in couple days. 55k miles. White over Coffee. Has every option except soft close doors and the fancy rear steer suspension. It does have the autonomous, massaging seats, glass controls, trailer hitch along with every option except the two mentioned above. I'm excited! I'm not wealthy yet but love my German cars! This will be my 5th BMW but I haven't had one in awhile. After my last one I had a Q5 tdi, GL550 amg, GranTurismo, Macan Turbo and most recent a P525 RRS. I will admit I liked the RRS much more than I thought I would. Most these vehicles I did basic maintenance myself with the help of FCP Euro!

I just purchased a 2023 X5 M50i with 50,000 miles a month ago. This is my 4th X5; the first, a 2003 4.4. What can I say?! I love the 4.4. I had the "lemon" N63 in my 2012 X5, but I have to say, aside from going through oil like a fart through a French horn and making more smoke than a Cheech & Chong movie, it was a great car. I went into the M50i purchase with my eyes wide open and will care for it the best I can. I'm addicted to the horsepower. Love your site. Just changed the oil with one of your kits and replaced the cabin air filters. I'm planning a transmission oil/filter change next year. You folks are the best!

FYI in the US the B58 powered 40i has never made more than 375HP in the X5. In the M340i it makes 382, it might in the new G60 5 series too.

He also properly notes that the M50i X5 was obviously M-sport package equipped only - however, the X5 xDrive50i can ALSO be had as an M-sport pack, or the regular xLine styling

This vehicle has been on my radar for a while as the next family hauler. Saving this video as reference and related videos about the G05 for DIY references. Would like to find a 2023 model since I think it's the last year before they did the full curve display and one that has the towing package.
