Good episode and explanation by Sh. Alomgir Ali, but I feel it would've been much better if it also included the reason we believe in hadith and sunnah first and foremost using the Qur'an and the Arabic language, logical arguments, and historical reasoning.

This was touched upon but not touched enough to make the point of why we do, and importantly why not believing in hadith and sunnah is dangerous and misguided

There is nothing wrong with questioning the authenticity of a hadeeth before ascribing it to our prophet saws, just as every learned person and scholar has done for hundreds of years. Only a mindless person would accept something outside of the quran without considering it carefully.

Did the Sahaba ever go to Rasul Ullah SAW for clarifications and explanations of Quran ayaat? They did, and that in itself is a huge hole in the Quranist argument. Even Syedinna Umar RA said that he would have liked to have sought further clarification on 3 matters with Rasul Ullah SAW if he had the chance - inheritance involving someone who dies with no direct children or parents] [usury/interest, and leadership/succession.

Is there a thematic aspect to the quranist movement as well which is common with many anti-Islamic initiatives, and that is to push Rasul Ullah SAW into the background, to relegate him as source of guidance for us and someone we love.

They have internalised secular humanism. That simple.

The Cave...

Sunni: Who transmitted the Quran to you?

Quranist: If you found this Quran in a cave and knew nothing about its history, would you believe in it?

Sunni: Why are you dodging my question?

Quranist: But what if you found it inside a cave, would you believe?

Sunni: And what about you? Will you believe in the Muslims who transmitted the Quran to you?

Quranist: I gather from your refusal to answer my question that you wouldn't believe in the Quran if you found it in a cave. This means the content means nothing to you without the vehicle transmitting it. Such is the mentality of the mindless...

Sunni: I didn't say I wouldn't believe, so don't put words in my mouth.

Quranist: Will you believe, then?

Sunni: Yes, I will believe, but...

Quranist: Is there a "but" in belief?

Sunni: You're right. I will believe in it without a "but."

Quranist: Well done. Now answer me: would you believe in the Sunnah if you found it in a cave?

Sunni: How? How?

Quranist: Peace.

Why would you bring up the sheikhs health issues. He obviously didn't mention it for a reason.

I honedtly believe the simple explanation as to why people question various hadeeths ( not those who reject all) outright) is that people genuinely are disturbed by some of the hadeeth that are hard to understand as Allah is the compassionate and the merciful. Some hadeeth appear contradictiry, extremely prejudiced against the female creation and condoming practicses likd forcing women into slavery if captured in wsrtime and being used anx abused by a male " owner". Rhese practices are still legal in islam. Why? And why is it thst 9 yesr old girls can be married off by their fathers without their consent.? Hadeeth seems to support these practices so susters have becomec dusturbed and confused, but many men too question hadeeths that seem very harsh ir uncaring towards the vilnerable in society.

You can't use hadith against hadith rejectors. Imagine using the vada to justify worshipping cows?

The Talmud, then the Bible, the Bukhari... different era same trickery, and just like a thief that cover his trail, Iblis inspires stories of people sitting on their couches rejecting, ... blinded by arrogance, now we watch how Allah humiliates the sectarians and sahabi worshipers world wide, you mock the Quran calling it "generic" and finer details? its you all that are not satisfied with the Quran so you go seek finer details and fancy hadith to qwell your doubts in the Quran, ...

This lecture really is for those who already accept Hadith. Comforting to those who need it. Rejecting Hadith is not rejecting sunnah. Thats a proper straw man.

Okay, I’m honestly not sure why you guys aren’t getting it. We’re having this conversation today because the Dawah 🫏 started this in the first place.

Remember when Andrew said, “Strip it back”? That’s exactly what we need to do—go back to the root of the issue.

The problem is that these Dawah 🫏 have been given a platform to spread what many people see as lies and deception. If the UK were a Muslim country, they wouldn’t have the same platform to mock Islam and profit from it.

Ali the 🫏 is still carrying on, while these Dawah 🫏 are sitting online mocking Islam and filling their pockets. Yet somehow, you continue to blame women. But you’re not ready to have that conversation.

If we’re going to discuss the real issue, then let’s actually address the root of it instead of constantly shifting the blame onto women.

And as for calling others non-believers, what gives us the audacity to declare who is and isn’t a believer? Muslims weren’t in the room when these decisions were made, so our personal opinions carry very little weight here.
