Oh wow, the short-lived ending video of Rod Serling through the TV static is shown in full here, that’s amazing. I’m going to have to include this in my Tower of Terror website.

YouTube Is The Only Close Thing To A Time Machine

Got to ride it for the first time in July ‘94 on our honeymoon. IMO, a triumph of Imagineering.

i know it's still in Florida (thank goodness) but as a California local, I miss is SO MUCH.

I wish I was 30 striding around MGM Studios at WDW and riding the Tower of Terror.

The 1994 Tower Of Terror. The Year My Parents Were Married

The spark sounds coming from the sign are quite audible in this video and something I wish they would fix. It provided a lot more immersion. (This isn't the same as the actual spark effects that were shut off due to fire hazards)

i was obsessed with the lore of this ride. the anticipation of seeing it in real life and from the interstate because it was so tall ! i first went to WDW maybe in 92, and it was announced but not open. Anyway, the next time i was there it was open and i persuaded my dad to go on. i was all big and tough in the line but boy, when we went to the top i absolutely shit my pants and cried haha my dad teased me so much afterwards and of course i denied i was scared. didnt take him up on the offer to ride it again though haha the guy next to me was huge and i was tiny, i went flying out my seat on the drop because the lap bar was miles above my legs, it was so scary. but to this day i still love the building the ride the music the atmosphere, i live in japan now and the one here is still awesome but i hope one day i get to ride this one again ! i hope they never turn it into the abomination that they turned it into in califronia !

Weird to think there’s no merge point in the queue because this would have been a few years before the fastpass was even introduced. Just one big standby line for everybody!

All the foliage around it is still so small here, it looks so weird

Looks exactly like the modern one!

I was here the year this version opened seems tame by the random 4 drops they have now.

The good old lap bar! I was a cast member in the 90s and we girls would always want to sit next to tall guys with long legs so that when the bar was lowered there would still be a large gap to our laps. We could practically stand up straight on the drop. Even more so once there were more drops per ride. Probably not the safest idea but we were young and it was fun!

Wow this video is nearly 1/2 lifetime ago; hard to believe.

I’m not really scared of this ride sometimes my heart beats and I shiver for no reason

There was two kids riding by their selves and they were screaming so loud when I went to Hollywood Studios

There’s something so special about the original tower. However the DCA version was so much more refined and provided such a flawless experience. The pacing was perfect. Such a tragedy they ruined it with gaurdians

That's great! And we got to hear the ending music in its entirety!

Special fact: the actors inside the twilight zone elevator aren’t actually dead. They put a filter so they can disappear and turn into ghosts and some of the actors are dead and kid actors are not dead. They just grew up. You know the actors like some of the actors died from a disease

Thats crazy not only it had one drop! The scenes were also different
