This movie and the Donald Goines masterpieces got a lot of brothers in College (Allen University) and Vietnam era vets at Fort Jackson through a lot of growing pains in the south. North Philly in the house!

I watched this movie 23 times. I worked on Spring St in downtown LA and would walk over to Broadway and watch all the movies that were out. The theater mgrs would allow me in for free. I got to know all of them and had a great verbal exchange with them.

I seen their tombstones at evergreen cemetery in Oakland back in the 80's I believe that the woman in the middle was the mother...I had been walking past it for years and didn't know it... They have been moved a while back.. perhaps the late 80's or early 90's
