Juvenal Quispe, a Peruvian miner, tells us for the first time his paranormal stories from inside the mine: his pact with the Muqui (the Uncle), the sacrifices the mine demands to yield gold, the lost souls trapped in its tunnels, and the punishments he has suffered for daring to negotiate with him.

For Juvenal, the Muqui, the Uncle, and the Gringa are not legends: they are real presences he has lived with his entire working life. In this episode, he speaks candidly about the dangers of working underground, the blood offerings some miners make for protection, and the traditions passed down from generation to generation in the Peruvian mining world.
