"Your guns now have a cooldown."
"Time to build even more guns boys!"

So the devs wanted WW2 style of naval landings.

But the playerbase eventually went the "reenact Gallipolli" route of beaching capital ships.

I love the accuracy of needing to carefully plan invasions, but also sometimes a group of chaotic dumbasses with no plan are more effective because their actions are inherently unpredictable.  That is exactly how it is in real life.  Sometimes it’s a carefully planned out operation, sometimes it’s the Seabees stealing a train full of beer from behind enemy lines.

Do I play Foxhole? No. Do I love the fact that people ALWAYS break new mechanics with real life tactics from WW1/WW2? Absolutely!

It's like World War I and World War II mixed together to create chaotic gameplay. It's so hilarious to watch this video.

Expectation: DDAY
Reality: Gallipoli

So the devlopers wanted D-Day with waves of landing ships, but the community ended up doing Saint Nazaire instead, ramming the support craft straight on the enemy harbor.

Dont forget the evolution of supplying large ships out at sea with crated ammo, giving ships more staying power. You have one guy ammo logi/fuel logi instead of 25 players going back to seaport to rearm.

We in CSU do NOT have a chieftain addiction and we can stop whenever we want to.

Juuust one more rush, though

I am quite surprused when i realize how much the airborn update will not just boost army reconaissance but naval as well

Population limits hurt the vision the devs have. Having to crew multiple ships and an invasion isn't easily done.

Something I noticed RE the "run counter-clockwise" bit... yeah, that's how the navy does it.
Whenever you hear the "General Quarters" call, they'll tell you "The route of travel is forward and up to starboard, down and aft to port." In other words "Run counter clockwise".
Someone knew their naval doctrine for how to organize the easiest flow of man and materiel around a ship in a crisis!

Devs wanted WW2 style naval warfare with escorted fleets and landing craft.
Players proved again and again that WW1 tactic of yoloing your logistic fleet into enemy beach is faster and works much better.
Bored logi players  figured out that having mobile infinite spawnpoint loaded with rocket launchers is kinda OP, there was much crying from battleship crews from now on.
Devs tried to conteract it by buffing torps to make unrepairable holes so longhooks can no longer just repair and anchor anyway.
Finnaly players started to build escorted fleets like devs intended, but collies just kinda gave up on navy anyway and spammed big boom boom canons cause they hard countered navy.
Devs nerfed big boom boom canons.
Collies made more .

Warhooks were glorious, nothing was more fun than whole ass battleship running away in panic from few dozen dudes on a "logistic" ship.

I’ve always wanted to see this. I’ve personally noticed the strategies change from my first war in 109 when naval was more new and now the differences in the modern foxhole

As a Colonial - I remember going through bunkers in search of warden ATR. We used it both on longhooks and destroyers

Foxhole is World War I with World War 2 technology.

Siegecamp vision is a fullblown Normandy landing while both side sometimes just ram a longhook to a unprotected seaside town hall and tell 20 randos to blow that up

Devman MUST see this video. And I hope they realize something is wrong.

Foxhole looks super cool - like a game you'd imagine as a child - but it looks like a full time job.

3:18 like in real life lol
