Quebec City delivers again - and this time they're docked in the best spot in town, right in Lower Old Quebec where only the smaller ships get to park! Watch as Jerry and Jill attempt a guru walk before deciding 40 minutes on two monuments is enough history for one morning and going rogue through one of the most beautiful cities in Canada. Jerry invents the Dutch Toasted Western omelette sandwich (not on the menu, highly recommended), and tracks down a croissant the size of his head. The Volendam's local menu section shines with PEI mussels and cod fish, dinner is dramatically better than night one, the Cannonball burger makes its Volendam debut, and the pianist at the piano bar is genuinely excellent - right up until Sweet Caroline closes the night. Oh, and the ship had NO water for three hours. 59 cruises, never seen that before.

We visited Quebec City in 2024 and loved it. My favorite small city. Lisbon and Barcelona are both incredible but less intimate. Incredible food.

My husband and I fell in love with Quebec City when we cruised on Princess from Brooklyn to Quebec City. We disembarked the ship, and spent a week there in that red building just opposite the Hotel Frontenac. We walked everywhere, enjoyed the daily music in the square. We especially liked that dogs are welcome all over. Would seriously consider moving there, if it becomes necessary.

On our Volendam Day in Quebec City we did a mini bus city tour and out to falls in afternoon. Then dropped off at Fontenac, watched some street performers in the park and then down the funicular to the ship. Beautiful city

Greetings Jill and Jerry! Happy day, a new vlog dropped! It was a beautiful sail in to Quebec City! The sunrise on Chateau Frontenac and the old Town was so pretty. Great idea Jerry-the Dutch toasted western! Yay to having a perfect dock! We've always done the Funicular, ✌ ✌ two thumbs up for walking! Jerry's comment on how beautiful Quebec City is, was spot on! It never fails to amaze us, as we walk through history. Well that was a twist! Jill on the pool deck sans Jerry! Dinner was delicious and the comedian was a hit. Sweet Caroline! Where ever you go! We generally don't repeat ourselves but after 42 cruises you can't help but not to. That being the case we will, we will be doing Canada, New England again 11 days instead of 14 days on the Caribbean Princess in 2027. The last time we stayed in The Hotel and we just didn't have enough time in Quebec. Very pretty city.

I like that you showed it is absolutely ok to "bail" on a tour when you discover it isn't quite right. Some people say, I paid the money - I say might as well go do something I enjoy! And you indicated that you gave a generous tip, regardless. I'll be visiting Quebec City in a couple of weeks. Can't wait. Thanks, again, for great videos.
