One thing I can definitely say about Luka Sabbat is that he is an incredibly cultured and intelligent individual. He has been able to observe, reflect, and truly develop his knowledge and appreciation for fashion, and he’s having an amazing rollout.
Much respect to The People’s Gallery and Luka for sharing, preserving, and exposing culture to the world. One thing I’ve always believed is that people who are fashion nerds, enthusiasts, or whatever you want to call us, are some of the most culturally aware people you’ll ever meet. Fashion is a reflection of history, art, society, and human expression, and those who deeply study it often develop a unique level of curiosity and intelligence.
I've been following Luka for awhile now on social media, but I've never heard him speak about his ideas and the concepts behind his clothing up until now. Dude is legit.
Wow. I just learned why bomber jackets are called bomber jackets, the jonestown incident, Shoko Asahara, tart leather and more about vietnamese war etc. Lancey kept saying "look at the detail" all through out the video for good reason. Everything is intentional. The pants, the patch work shorts, the jackets, the python boots like man this is good stuff. Especially the rings, bracelets and wallet chain, just incredible work. That MJ inspired motorcycle jacket is so Pain. This collection is straight up passion and history put into garments.
This was next level, Luka is becoming a young master having been around who he was going back 12-13 years ago. So much detail, exceptional knowledge and reference most creatives and people in high fashion don't have anymore. Most of it died after the 2010s imo but there is a spirit very few have at this level anymore that this gives the feeling of
This is my first impression of his collection and I’m quite surprised to hear the depth and meaning behind what inspired these articles of clothing and how certain pieces are made. While watching this I was kept thinking “wow there’s so much to learn through these clothes”. I think him and the team did a fantastic job at doing exactly what he said he wanted his clothes to do, “we want people to be educated and we want people when they buy our brand to learn something new”.Well done honestly.
always found the pieces very cool aesthetically, but seeing how conceptual and deep the references go makes me appreciate them so much more - a very worthwhile watch.
Bro is genuinely a great designer, in the sense that there are incredibly thoughtful references and meanings behind his work. He then has the ability to translate these stories and ideas into very wearable clothes, a lot of creatives actually struggle with that, the execution. He's a true student of the game. Shout out to Luka
There is something about being undeniably exceptional in your craft. This collection embodies that about Luka, the design, the work and craft to bring it to life and the story behind them, that gives each individual piece life. This is REAL ART.
so much pain! I love how Luka breaks down every piece with extensive detail without having to be asked. seems like he understands presentation matters as much as the piece itself. great video as always 🔥
