The Gundam : The most edgiest looking in the series.

The pilot : The most cheerful guy in the series.

"Duo is the most laid-back pilot? What about Quatre?"

Bro, Quatre was a popped violin string away from a nervous breakdown BEFORE Wing Zero. As Duo himself said, "if you leave him alone long enough, Quatre always blames himself for everything."

In a franchise full of devils, aliens, witches and an angel, it's good to have a reminder that The Reaper takes many forms.

Professor G was pure aura farming with the Deathscythe Hell. He didn't need to make the jammers rib-shaped, or the shield into a coffin, but he did. Then of course the wings.

4:08 Ah, this is what ZAFT refers to taking Mobile Suits. They're not stealing them. They're STEALing them.

After seeing the 4 variants upgrades, I can conclude that Prof G is a chunibyo.

It's funny Duo became the pilot for Deathscythe because he is religious, he was raised by a priest, even Duo's outfit is based on a chatolic priests outfit.

The Deathscythe has the coolest looking gundam design out of the 5 G units. It's looks awesome and intimidating.

My favorite Gundam from the Wing series. This suit cemented my love/obsession with Gundam.

The Deathscythe's destruction in episode 20 is in the top 5 saddest deaths in the franchise.

The gundam that pissed off Toys R Us

The scientists that built the gundams gave high priority on style points on their designs. They well know that looking good in combat also helps the pilots perform better.

It' interesting in the early art for the Deathscythe that it was more of a dark/navy blue than black, which definitely made the golden yellow accent pop. The EW version taking back some of those early design elements is a nice throwback.

The Deathscythe is the most 90s suit ever. It reminds me of comics from the 90s where each iteration gets more "metal" and extra until it's almost a parody of itself.

Remember that part of the briefing where Lady Une said that the stealth capabilities of the Deathscythe was because it was colored in black?

When I learned about the Hyper Jammer, I went 'WTH is she talking about?'

@donovanbradford8231 1 year ago

I really enjoy these breakdowns as growing up there were things that the English Dubs never clearly brought up. In the Deathscyth's case it was the hyper jammers giving it type of cloak. There is the famous episode of Oz and the Alliance looking for the downed Wing Gundam only to be blindsided by the Deathscyth. While the battles are occurring Oz isn't sure what's going on as they can only see the Alliance mobile suits getting blown up while the pilots can't seem to see Duo and his gundam, even when he's right in front of them. I recently binged Gundam Wing and even then it's not clear stated the suit could do that, so a video like this is awesome.

The dark angel sounds like a mook support unit for the Hell.

"This Wing Zero is way too good! It would make life too easy!

Let's make a gundam with nearly-zero ranged weaponry!
Surely ranged combat is not a useful asset to stealth!!"
