✈️ Summer Vacation Tour Series 3: Hong Kong!
This time, we arrived at the airport and headed into the city, where we toured the film set "Twilight Warriors" in Kowloon Walled City.
We then enjoyed dessert at the popular Hong Kong sweets shop, Di Mao Wan Dessert, some shopping, and then headed to Tim Ho Wan, famous for its Michelin-starred dim sum.
The theme of this trip was actually a "trip to three countries." While I've traveled to two countries before, this was my first time flying across three.
Although I only spent about half a day in Hong Kong, I thoroughly enjoyed both the sightseeing and the food, making it a very fulfilling day.

待ってましたーの香港迷@悠乃です❤私がかなりの頻度で香港へ行ったのは未だ若かりし頃、イギリスの植民地時代でした❤九龍城は旧空港時代に興味本位で行き当時の香港人彼に怒られた甘酸っぱい経験があります😅1年住んでたので私にとって故郷みたいなもんなのです💕添好運の生菜炒め…お店に菜心が無ければ必ず注文するくらい大好き❤好味‼️
私のテリトリーは油麻地近辺なので上海街とかとても懐かしく思いました😢興奮しすぎて眠れなさそうです笑

Have you been to Tai O (大澳) before? It's a great place to visit.
There's also a market at Ngong Ping (昂平) and the Big Buddha (天壇大佛), you can get there by cable car if you have time.

訪港まで１週間余りになり、当家もいつもはほぼノープランなんですが久しぶりという事もありあれこれと。
マカオが片道無料だと！とか、南丫島行って海鮮？とか、喳咋探しとか、最近のエッグタルトとあそこの食べ比べとか、有名お粥店が閉店してしまい今回はどこで食べるかとか。
ホテルは旺角駅近かにしたので空港からはAEL→青衣乗り換えMTRの予定、エスカレーターでスーツケース落とさないようにせねばｗｗ
しばらく行かない間に長者様に昇格できるらしく、オクトパスは買い替えです。
せっかくapple payへ入れて再有効化できたのに。
あっeSIMどかが良いか調べなきゃ、とバタバタしてます。
ちなみに南丫島トレールの両湾の間は割と緩やかで、ドラゴンバックより楽かとｗ、途中ばあちゃんの豆腐花屋さんも有りますし、海鮮屋の送迎フェリーもあります。
I grew up in Kowloon City, just a 10-minute walk from the old Kai Tak Airport. Back then, we were practically neighbors with the Walled City. It’s fascinating how that spot has become a major attraction for Japanese visitors now, especially with the park’s unique history and atmosphere. Kowloon City has changed so much over the years, and it’s still evolving.
If you're exploring again, I’d love to recommend a hidden gem: Hop Shing Dessert (合成糖水) also in Kowloon city. It’s a classic spot serving traditional Teochew-style desserts—rich in flavor and nostalgia. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area. They’re best known for their peeled green bean and lotus seed—simple yet deeply comforting. As far as I know, it might be the only place left in Hong Kong still serving authentic Teochew-style desserts like these. Hope you get a chance to try it on your next visit!
