Got the 2026 version of your GT as my new daily back in July. White with tan Nappa seats. It’s been absolutely superb out here in SoCal. Haven’t had any issues with the headlights but I only have 2,700 miles on the car. Be curious to see what you think of the Goodwin twin exhaust. Seems like most folks go with the Roadster single tube exhaust. I’ve heard Mazda plans to keep the NE the same weight or make it slightly lighter. At the same time, I’ve heard they want the car to be able to accept a hybrid powertrain. To me, that goes against the ethos of the Miata, which is simple, lightweight, and analog. Whatever they do, let’s hope they can keep the weight down and continue to offer a great manual transmission.

My late 2024 GT started throwing the headlight malfunction warning when the car was a few months old. Ultimately it was fixed by a replacement of the left side headlight assembly. It was showing the malfunction on a regular basis before the repair and it has not malfunctioned again since they replaced the left headlight unit. Other owners with the headlight malfunction issue also had the problem resolved by the replacement of the left headlight assembly.

I have a 25 GT ST 6mt. No issues with my headlight swiveling or codes. There is a software update available if you have issues. You may need to ask for it.

got my 2025 rf gt 6mt mid dec 2025, so about 10 months in.  only have about 2800 miles (had 200 on it - they had to have it driven down from TN), mostly city, lots of joy rides.  got the post break-in oil change at about 1500mi, they made me rotate the tires too ("can't do just the oil change" - this is the dealership).  getting just under 26mph avg - once i realized running it at 3000rpm basline in 2nd and 3rd is how it likes to be driven, ...    but sure if you want to run at 1000-2000rpm you can get much better mileage, just don't get the punch and performance.  when i was in the break-in period and before i realized how it likes to run revved, i was getting 32+ easily.

one of the two key fobs has issues - tried changing batteries but it's still flakey so hopefully they will give me a replacement when i go for next service.  otherwise some weirdness with the auto headlights (button on the dash) flashing high/low/high/low in a neighborhood at dusk.  and occasionally the ac won't come on but haven't been able to pin that down.  stopping and starting the car so far seems to clear things up.   hate these random things you can't reproduce on demand at the service visit.

but yeah in ATL plenty of hills and curves to make it just something fun to do mid morning or after rush hour in the evening...easy to burn an hour or so driving 25 miles and barely getting into 4th gear.  last time the trip mpg was 25.7, and never on the highway.    even with $5.60 premium gas i'll pay a little more to ENJOY driving it at 3000rpm, just a throttle tap away from peak torgue, engine braking instead of pedal braking.   it's so nimble and responsive i can get around and  thru traffic to the open-ish road ahead. mostly i shun rush hour and afternoon school zone time traffic whenever possible.  

been driving stick for decades and swore when i had my wrangler 4x4 (24 yrs!) i'd never drive a tiny car, but got this one on a whim and it truly is a blast to drive.  cabin storage is non-existent.  anything and everything will fly around the cabin - i used some 'sticky pad' to keep my phone in the little cubby, my garage door opener attached to the visor (my bldg door won't program), a coozie to keep the water bottle in the holder.   and a small backback for the things you just want (tissue, usb cable, wipes, gum,  ...).  the trunk is small but holds a lot more than you'd expect.  the RF GT is the 'daily driver' - the modern features and comfort.  to each his own tho, you can't go wrong.

can ONR wash without needing a bucket - one 32oz bottle of solution covers the whole car - inside and out in under an hour.   and yes get front PPF and ceramic coat (and tint) done by a professional (not the dealership) - the paint is known to be soft and will ding and chip easily.  

holds resale value well.  mine is still worth 34k (private sale value) and that's not capturing the PPF etc value.  not that i will sell.  will be driving this one for as long as i can get in and out of it.

It’s crazy the Miata outlived the NSX since they debuted the same year…I hope the next gen comes with the turbo 4cyl and maybe the size of the NC.

As far as the headline issue is concerned, remember you bought a data collecting machine which also has other computer controlled gimmicks. Better to buy a 2013-2015 nc3...a real sports car. computergimmicks
