That song is actually performed by a guy named Tiny Tim and that was his real voice, the song is called "Tiptoe thru the tulips", he died in 1996

You definitely have to watch and react to Insidious: Chapter 2 and Insidious: The Red Door which are the direct sequels to this following the story of this family

I really love the theological lore they paint with the Insidious series, I think it's the best thing they did with these movies. It's fascinating that there seems to be an "ecosystem" of spirits in the Further comprised mostly of humans reliving horrible events surrounding their deaths with a few rare and powerful demons skulking about as "apex predators".

Old lady here, feeling the need to share that the song you're hearing, "Tiptoe Through The Tulips", was famously recorded by the eccentric artist Tiny Tim back in the late 1960's. He had a love for old music and "Tulips" is originally from the 1920's. Here's a clip of him singing the song on the original Tonight Show with Johnny Carson: https://youtu.be/zcSlcNfThUA?si=p6hevnjIMe2pOxNJ

If you need some Horror watching suggestions for October:
- A Nightmare on Elm Street
- The Lost Boys
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
- The Hills have Eyes (2006)
- Last House on the Left (2009)

😁👌

The raw meat on bruises is just a movie trope. It's really just the cold that helps with swelling so even though a piece of meat from the fridge might help reduce swelling, you'll get better results from a frozen bag of peas and it's much cheaper.

20:00 yessss this was such an effect sequence for me because it was the only or one of the only horror movies where something extensively creepy happens during the day

You guys should give Denzel Washington's movie Fallen(1998) a watch. Its a classic under appreciated gem.

Honestly, I really enjoyed “Insidious: The Red Door” because it was a direct sequel to Insidious 2. Can’t wait to see y’all react to that one eventually

18:58 Tiny Tim recorded the song in the 60's and made an entire career out of playing the ukulele and singing this song, 'Tiptoe Through the Tulips' which actually made the charts... back then. Whimsical music was a smash back then, as whimsy; but whimsy can also turn out some creepy asf backdrop ambiance music right? 😅

Specs is leigh wanell the writer of these movies and close friend to james wan, they made some successful franchises together most notably the saw franchise which is why we see jigsaw on the chalk board in josh classroom. Also the guy playing the lipstick faced demon is joseph bashira he also made the score
