So, fun fact about boomslangs: their venom, though slow acting, will eventually cause the victim to bleed from every orifice, which is why TierZoo says it's so overpowered.

The irony of someone deathly afraid of whales not seeing how people can be afraid of snakes is not lost on me

King snakes names actually derives from their tendency to eat other much more venomous snakes. A lot of horse barns actually keep them in the barn to eat snakes that would pose a threat to the horses

Skitten: "why are people so afraid of snakes?, I don't get it"

Also skitten: is scared of a big swimming mammal that can't even eat her if it wanted to

Not a raccoon, it's better. That my friend is a Tanuki or raccoon dog. They're cute af and an important part of japanese culture.

The boomslang is South African, direct translation is tree snake and pronounced boo-em slung

"His hair is better than yours"

THIS BLASPHEMY WILL NOT STAND

There was a time when I thought Rattlesnakes were so badass that they were unbeatable.  But all that changed when I saw a documentary about wildlife in the American desert, and the grand finale of that documentary showed one battling and eventually being killed by a Red-Tailed Hawk.  Since then I've seen them get beaten by Red-Tailed Hawks, Common Kingsnakes, and even Roadrunners.  Basically, Rattlesnakes require VERY specific stats to defeat them.  You have to have either extremely high resiliency to their venom, or you have to move even FASTER than they can.

He's right. Boom is pronounced how tierzoo does it. He misspronounced slang though. Its not an aang sound. It an more of a short. Ah. Sound.

Quality reaction.

Note: Black Mambas aren't close to the highest damage potential of all snakes. That's the Inland Taipan which has venom that is several times more potent. A crime the taipans were excluded from the list tbh.
Personally, I think there's an argument for the King Cobra at the top instead of the Black Mamba, but the placement doesn't bother me.

Hurts that he didnt bring up Taipans, especially the Inland Taipan which is the most venemous snake in the world

13:34 The amount of Despair in her face 😭😭

5:27 I think they spit out the shells
8:37 No Smash explosion?
21:30 Just stood there?…
23:13 Prey
26:40 KNEW IT!!!

“ I don’t get why people are scared of snakes” proceeds to be horrified every time they show one killing an animal.

My favorite snakes are definitely constrictors. I have a 4-foot ball python that likes to sit on my shoulders like a scarf xD

That snake and eel were having a hell of a battle

4:09  look at that damm smile! Adorable!

12:13 technically you are wrong. The boomslangs name comes from Afrikaans words (boom = tree, slang = snake) so the boom in its name isn't pronounced the same as the boom in English. Tierzoo's pronunciation was closer.

I think tier guy is trying to pronounce boomslag de Dutch ( or actually South African)  way
Boom= tree
Slang= snake
Boomslang literally translates to treesnake, i guess.
Dutch pronounciation of boom is like dome. Bome slang.

Snakes really don't deserve all the negative stereotypes thrown at them. Yes, many snakes like cobras, mambas and taipans can potentially kill you if not medically treated in time, but they only attack when they feel threatened. Even when I was a little kid, I knew that if I stupidly toyed with a highly venomous snake, it could swiftly strike me with one or more bites and put my life at huge risk.
