tldr; one year anniversary of quitting my software engineering job at amazon. what i learned isn't profound. it's not groundbreaking. they're all subtle changes but impactful ones. i focused too much on the wrong things and ignored my needs for several years. looking back, everything that meant a lot to me were the most smallest things in life. it took a whole year of reframing my mindset and reflecting to realize this. i'm so much more grateful & the time away from corporate allowed me to see things more clearly. i don't want to sound dramatic but truly it did.
nothing in life is guaranteed but we can control our outlook, who we wanna be & how we wanna move. we all don't need a dramatic life shift to come to this conclusion (but i did).
