It hasn't rained for weeks. The beds are bone dry. The plants aren't growing and are drying out. I often hear this scenario from viewers in Franconia, Thuringia, Brandenburg, and other parts of Germany. Fortunately, it's not quite as tragic here in Upper Bavaria. Nevertheless, the dry periods are getting longer and longer. To bridge this, cisterns, ponds, and rain barrels in the garden are very important.
