Shirley: “Wow, oh my god, is this straight out of camera? I’m gonna lose it!”
Moke: “Yeah, straight out, I didn’t edit anything.”
This GR IV street diary begins in the early morning of Taipei—with a scream.
I invited Shirley to do something a little strange, like when we were kids, playing without rules. Unexpectedly, she didn’t even wait for my cue—she just ran off, borrowed an egg from the breakfast shop lady, and seriously said: “The egg is the soul, because it’s full of nutrition.”
This is my very first street diary, capturing the surprising straight-out-of-camera results of the Ricoh GR IV, our curiosity for light and shadows, and those ridiculous yet joyful little moments.
I hope you’ll enjoy this story of photography, daily life, and… an egg.
