To put it into perspective, a lot of us were 11 or 12 yrs old when Assist Me was a thing. Rewatching the series is like binging old morning cartoons you used to love.

And not a lot of youtube channels from that era are recognizable anymore. Some turned to corporations, some broke up on a bitter note, and some just dissolved into obscurity.

The fact that you can rewatch an old show like Assist Me and see that the guys behind it are still going strong. That's some feel good sh*t man. Yo Videogames is great because of that.

What made me fall in love with Max's channel back in the day was the fact that he focused on "fighting games are fun" instead of "how to get good" it's so nice to watch these old videos.

It may not age well, but this series legit helped me understand game mechanics and i will forever love the assist me series

Assist Me is a certified hood classic!

Literally binged this series like a month ago lmao, it's a super fun brand of corny

It aged so poorly that it actually aged well, It's a series that is full of passion that I think it still shines today!

For me, it’s nostalgic.  For new viewers, it might be…

I would say, this series is a testament to the age when YouTube was for low budget creators.

And it's still funny ^^. Sure the acting changes for the better and the production value went up... But there is something more honest in those mid days Youtube sagas.

And I kinda miss that.

"Doom, come back to bed" is now my favorite Max quote.

I still love the outtakes when Wesker 'accidentally' palm struck 'Ammy' and the message says " Don't worry . Ammy has 2 mil hp"

Simmons as doom was the best thing about assist me. His obsession for yogurt, hating the fantastic four, always eating Max's food and his hilarious grunt everytime he walks. To this day I still know the epic MVC3 rap battle by heart

Even as someone who didn't even know this series existed before following Max, it's still really fun and intriguing hearing them reminisce and discuss the production of their very 2010's Youtube show

Hopefully soon, we'll get "Assist RIPLEY" as Max teaches Ripley how to play fighting game characters. Right?

It’s aged like fine cheddar. Kinda cheesy but still sweet and wonderful haha

I don't care what anyone says, Wesker shouting "VIDEO GAMES!!! I'm gonna go rub one out!" after beating a Haggar will never stop being funny.

This series was honestly the reason i started trying other fighting games that wasn't smash so i will always hold this series close to my heart

Just imagine once the multiverse starts in the MCU, there's a scene where a hero (preferably Spider-Man) goes through a house landing in the living room and it's Max doing a skit for Assist Me. Hahaha

It may not have aged well. But they’re why I know how to play umvc3

The skit that transforms Max into Ghost Rider was perfect. Minus the hair, Dood literally looked like Nicolas Cage when he was young.

What a blast from the past. 10 years... Fortunately "Young Max" doesn't seem so different than what he is now. The amount of effort, time and resources he put into making those Assist me videos are insane.

Nah, it’s definitely one of the best shows ever!!
